Prenatal Yoga Workshop

In this workshop series, you will learn how yoga can help you relax, reduce stress, and ease discomfort often associated with pregnancy (shortness of breath, nausea, lower back pain etc.). Building strength through yoga will help you prepare for an easier and more comfortable labor and delivery. Yoga can help you connect with your growing baby as well as build a community of other pregnant women and moms-to-be.

Prenatal Yoga classes are designed for expectant mothers at all stages of pregnancy. Yoga newbies and experienced practitioners are welcome!

Baby + Me Yoga (5-class series)

This is sweet yoga class for babies and their grown-up. We will learn yoga poses you can do while holding baby as well as chant, sing songs, and play with fun props. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child through movement, breath, and touch. Intended for ages 6 weeks through crawling.

This is a frolicking, fun-time yoga class for preschoolers. In this yoga class we will learn age-appropriate yoga poses, breathing exercises, and play yoga games. Class will wind down with savasana and foot rubs. Intended for children ages 2-4.

This is a two part event:

First…
Join us for a bouncy and silly yoga class for babies and their parent or carer. We will sing songs, learn interactive poses, and play with our breath. This is a wonderful opportunity to explore movement with your child. Intended for babies who are crawling up to age 2. Older siblings are welcome.

Then...
We will just chill in the park as long as we are able. Let the kids play and moms can chat.

We will meet in Reid Park near Ramada 18 (Off Country Club btw Broadway & 22nd)

New Moms Support Group

Bringing home your first baby is so exciting, but as soon as the relatives leave and especially when your partner goes back to work, the isolation monster can creep in. We question every small decision and we wonder if others are doing the same. But it can be so difficult to reach out!

Come to our new moms support group (with your baby, of course!) and meet other new moms who are taking it one day at a time with their new bundles of joy. Topics may include: conflicts and guilt surrounding feeding your baby, transition into mom-life, and management of information and misinformation that may inundate you.

Intended for first-time moms with babies under one year. Mothers who work inside and outside the home are welcome. 

$45 for a series of 6 meetings or $8 per meeting.

This is a gentle, hatha yoga class for adults. Vanessa and Anjum will lead you through a gentle sequence of yoga poses and offer modifications to make poses accessible to all bodies. Beginners and experienced yogis are welcome. Vanessa and Anjum alternate teaching this class every Monday evening. 

Class is held in the community room of the municipal building in Lincoln Park, NJ.

Camp Wildrose for Adults

Camp Wildrose for children was a success! The children had so much fun that the adults started asking for their own camp. So here it is! We are hosting a one-day garden & yoga retreat for adults before the summer is over. Join us for a relaxing afternoon of yoga followed by a garden fresh meal and cocktails.

  • Yoga class will include aromatherapy, reiki, and deep relaxation with lavender eye pillows

  • Dinner will include many fresh vegetables and herbs from our garden. Prepared by Mark Ferguson.

  • Mojitos and other virgin beverages prepared with our fresh mint and homemade lemon verbena syrup.

Young Women's Circle

Women are expected to do so much and balance can be difficult to find. Anxiety about one's choices in relationships and careers consume so many of us. At this gathering, Tamini Farah, LCSW, will address concerns and questions young women face when looking toward their future. Tamini will lead us through focused discussion, sharing, and journaling on what it feels like to be a young woman in a time of change and uncertainty. Gathering will close with a drum circle led by percussionist Daniel Ovadia.
